A Victoria Sci Fi Game set on the Martian Planet
Description:
Hello everyone and thank you for your interest in this. I intend to run a roleplaying game set in the Victorian Sci Fi universe. The game is based around a group of mercenaries, scientists, soldiers, and adventurers who are gathered together on Earth by Queen Victoria in 1888 to go to Mars after a passenger Aeronef, flying ships, disappeared carrying diplomats from Great Britain and Martian Native Chiefs. You will gather equipment on Earth and Mars and then venture outside the relative safety of the city on Mars. I expect the game to run for some time and would like to keep activity to at least three times a week.
How it will be played/run:
The game will use a series of rules I have developed based around percentiles. I will use online random number generators for rolls of chance or luck. Characters will be given a base sheet to fill in and create their characters. When play begins I will introduce a setting and the players will then interact with eachother and other non-player characters ran by me. Combat or other events will be set up and prefaced by a bold title ACTION. When this occurs players will be able to talk about their course of action for 24 hours on a separate Action Board that will be cleaned up after each event. At this time players will also be given their Initiative order. When the players decide their course of action they will PM me and I will roll for any variables such as shooting, Coercing, or even feats of strength. I will then send the players back their results and allow them to post, so long as people post in initiative order. If a player takes more than 24 hours to post his action I will post on his behalf.
I do hope this will work out as good as it did in my head and can't wait to see who will join. Feel free to PM me with questions.
