The world has long known that the Polar Ice Caps were melting but no one knew how fast it would happen.
As the world increased in heat the Ice Caps melted faster, the year is 2018 and the water levels have risen so much that over 60% of the former Continents are under water

The land that remains above water is over crowded and tensions are high
Many wars have been fought over these lands.
A few groups heeded the rising water warnings and bought disused Oil Rigs and Deep Sea Research Rigs and expanded them to adapt to their needs and growth.
